Local moves across Sydney, with the price shown first
We move houses, terraces, units and apartments around Sydney. For a home, you get two or three movers and a truck. For a few items or a marketplace pick-up, one mover and a van. You pay by the hour at the rate for that day, plus one fixed travel charge, and we confirm the total in writing before moving day.
Sydney moves have their own sticking points: goods lifts that need booking, loading docks with low clearance, narrow terrace stairs, and clearways with no room for a truck. We ask about each of these when we quote, so the time on the day matches the time we planned.

Travel zones are measured from the Sydney CBD. Zone A is within 20 km and Zone B is 20 to 40 km. For a move, the zone is set by the pick-up address, and your written quote confirms it.

Removalist rates in Sydney
An hourly rate for each day, one travel charge per job, and nothing added at the end. We don’t charge a stairs fee, fuel levy or card surcharge.
All prices include GST. Each rate is the full hourly rate for that day, not a surcharge. The minimum total is the minimum time plus the Zone A travel charge of $89; in Zone B, add $50.

Minimum 1 hour for 1 mover, or 2 hours for 2 or 3 movers, then 15-minute blocks. Time runs from when we arrive at your pick-up address until we finish unloading, including the drive between the two addresses. On weekdays, time after 6:30pm is charged at the Saturday rate.

A weekday job in Zone A that takes the 2-hour minimum or less. Most homes take longer: a studio or 1-bedroom usually takes 2 movers 2.5 to 4 hours on site, plus the drive.

Apartment and strata moves
Moving in or out of a Sydney apartment
Each building sets its own rules for moves through its strata by-laws and building manager. Check them with the building manager or strata managing agent at both ends before you book, then tell us what they say.
- Goods lift. Book it for your move time, and ask whether lift protection has to go up first.
- Move times. Some buildings only allow moves on certain days or between set hours.
- Loading dock. Ask whether a removal truck can use it, for how long, and what its height clearance is, so we can check our vehicle fits.
- Paperwork. Some building managers ask removalists for paperwork before move day. Ask early and tell us what they need, and we’ll tell you before you book whether we can provide it.
- Parking. With no dock or driveway, we need a legal spot close to the entrance. Check the signs for clearways, bus lanes and loading zone limits.
- Access. Have keys, fobs or codes for the lift and dock ready on the day.
Tell us the floor and how far the lift is from the dock or kerb. Both change the time, so they’re part of your quote.

On moving day, the crew can take beds and tables apart and put them back together as part of the same booking. For a separate visit, book one of the services below.

All prices include GST. After the first hour, $23 per 15 minutes on weekdays. On Saturdays the first hour is $159, then $27 per 15 minutes. Zone B visits add $40.
In NSW, residential building work over $5,000 (labour, materials and GST included) needs a licensed contractor, so we only take small jobs well under that limit. Electrical, plumbing and gas work always needs a licensed tradesperson, and we don’t do it. We don’t do wet-area waterproofing either. See the jobs we don’t take.

How much does a removalist cost in Sydney?
With us, 2 movers and a truck cost $169 an hour on weekdays and $189 an hour on Saturdays, with a 2-hour minimum, plus a travel charge of $89 in Zone A or $139 in Zone B. The lowest total with 2 movers is $427, for a weekday move in Zone A; with 1 mover and a van it’s $208. All prices include GST.
Which parts of Sydney do you cover?
We work within 40 km of the Sydney CBD: Zone A up to 20 km and Zone B from 20 to 40 km. For a move, the zone depends on the pick-up address. If you’re further out, call us and we’ll tell you whether we can do it and put the price in writing.
Who books the goods lift and loading dock?
Your building manager or strata managing agent takes those bookings, so please book them at both buildings and send us the times. We plan the start time around your booking.
Do you charge extra for tolls or fuel in Sydney?
There’s no separate fuel levy. The travel charge covers fuel and tolls within the zone. If the drive between your addresses uses toll roads, or we need paid parking, we include those costs in your written quote, so they’re part of the total you agree to.
Do you move on Sundays or public holidays?
No. Moves are Monday to Saturday, and we don’t take bookings on Sundays or public holidays.
Can you move me from Sydney to Melbourne or Brisbane?
Our listed rates cover moves within 40 km of the Sydney CBD. For anything further, including a move to Melbourne or Brisbane, call us and we’ll tell you whether we can take it on before giving you a written price.
Will I get a written quote before moving day?
Yes. Send photos, both addresses and the lift and parking details, and we confirm your total by SMS, WhatsApp or email before the job. If something on the day is different from what we agreed, we stop, explain and re-quote before carrying on.
