Brisbane removals
Brisbane moves, from Queenslanders to riverside units
We move highset Queenslanders and post-war homes, townhouses and units, from New Farm and West End out to the Bayside and Moreton Bay. Two or three movers and a truck for a home, or one mover and a van for a few items. You pay by the hour at the rate for that day, plus one fixed travel charge, and we confirm your price in writing before moving day.
What slows a Brisbane move down is usually the access: long flights of front stairs on highset houses, steep driveways and hilly streets, and unit blocks where the lift and loading bay are booked through the body corporate. Tell us about them and we’ll allow the time.

Removalist rates in Brisbane
You pay for the time the move takes at the rate for your day, plus one travel charge. High stairs and long driveways add time, not a separate fee.
All prices include GST. Each rate is the full hourly rate for that day, not a surcharge. The minimum total is the minimum time plus the Zone A travel charge of $89; in Zone B, add $50.

Minimum 1 hour for 1 mover, or 2 hours for 2 or 3 movers, then 15-minute blocks, including the drive between addresses. On weekdays, time after 6:30pm is at the Saturday rate.

Units and body corporate
Moving in or out of a Brisbane unit
In Queensland, a unit complex’s common property is managed by its body corporate, and its by-laws can set rules for moving furniture through shared areas. Check with the body corporate manager or on-site manager at both ends, then tell us what they need.
- Lift and loading bay. Book them for your move window, and ask if lift padding has to go up first.
- Visitor parking. Many complexes don’t allow trucks in visitor bays, so ask where we can park and what the height limit is, and we’ll check our vehicle fits.
- Paperwork. Some managers ask the removalist for paperwork before the day. Ask early and tell us what they need, and we’ll tell you before you book whether we can provide it.
- Walk-up blocks. Older three-storey blocks often have no lift, so tell us the floor and the stair layout.
Stairs and the distance from the truck both change the time, so they’re part of your quote.
Local notes
Highset houses, weather and toll roads
- Highset houses. Front stairs on a house raised on stumps add time for every heavy item, so count the steps or send a photo. If there’s a way in from underneath, tell us.
- Summer weather. Afternoon storms are common in the warmer months, and we wrap furniture before it leaves the house. If a storm makes the job unsafe, we move the date at no charge, as our terms say.
- Toll roads. The drive between your addresses may use the Gateway Motorway, Clem7, Legacy Way or another toll road. If it does, or if we need paid parking, we include those costs in your written quote.
- Building work limits. In Queensland, building work over $3,300 (labour, materials and GST included, even materials you supply yourself) needs a QBCC licence, so our handyman jobs stay well under that. See the jobs we don’t take.

What do removalists cost in Brisbane?
With us, a weekday move with 2 movers and a truck is $169 an hour ($189 on Saturdays) for at least 2 hours, plus $89 travel in Zone A or $139 in Zone B. That makes the lowest 2-mover total $427. All prices include GST.
Do you cover Logan, Ipswich and Moreton Bay?
Yes, if the pick-up address is within 40 km of the Brisbane CBD. Zone A is up to 20 km and Zone B is 20 to 40 km. Further out, call us and we’ll tell you whether we can do it and put the price in writing.
Do stairs on a highset house cost extra?
There’s no stairs fee. Stairs take longer, so they show up in the time, and the estimator allows for them when you choose the number of floors.
Can you move me from Brisbane to the Gold Coast or interstate?
Our listed rates cover moves within 40 km of the Brisbane CBD. For anything further, call us and we’ll tell you whether we can take it on before giving you a written price.
What happens if it storms on moving day?
We wrap furniture before it goes out, and if the weather makes the job unsafe, either of us can move it to another date at no charge.
